“Having been lucky enough to visit Morocco three times before, I had a pretty clear idea of what I’d be photographing on my latest assignment to hike in the Atlas Mountains for The Natural Adventure.
I envisioned bustling medinas, lush green valleys, snowy peaks and tucking into plenty of tagine. However, that picture was shattered in Imlil on day two, when a tall man draped in several goatskins walked into our homestay wielding a large stick.”
