TRUTRAVELS:
SUMATRA

Gemma Cromar, Head of Marketing and Partnerships at TruTravels: “Les joined us in Sumatra on a super short last minute request. With a rough video brief and a completely unique and off the beaten path tour, Les's creativity, positivity and vision for this project shone through. Les captured the raw beauty of the landscapes and local living, the unforgettable wildlife encounters, and the magic of group moments in natural, once in a life time settings. Les's ability to adapt quickly, conceptualise incredible visions and consistently delivering top-tier content is a testament to his skill and mindset. Whether working with camera-shy customers or pretty much being our 2nd group leader, Les brought out the best in everyone, ensuring the footage felt real and relatable. Les didn’t just capture moments—he made them”

I worked with TruTravels to create a new brand led video series titled Tru Stories. It would be 4 parts and aimed to highlight the key experiences of their new tour in Sumatra, Indonesia, as well capture the intangible but unbeatable small group vibe of the trip. The talent were real customers along with a few influencers from around the world. The goals were to visually communicate the brands values and unique experiences you have when travelling with TruTravels as well as showcase the destination. I was also commissioned to shoot promotion photography in addition to this video series as well to be used across digital and print channels.
